DESIGNER BIOGRAPHIES
We believe that great design is the fusion of your preferences and lifestyle with the design expertise and ideas of a LUXE Design Consultant. When you work with a LUXE designer, she or he will invest time in learning about you, how you wish to use the rooms in your home, and your tastes and preferences for colors and materials.
Oftentimes, your LUXE designer will request an appointment with you at your home to measure rooms, existing furniture, windows, and to look at traffic patterns. This information allows your designer to customize design and product recommendations for you, your home, your lifestyle and within your budget.
You'll also find that your LUXE designer is an invaluable resource for information about LUXE products - from furniture construction and faux wall finishes to the durability of upholstery fabrics and illumination provided by lighting products.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about the relationship with your LUXE designer is that design services are provided at no additional charge, when you use our products. Every detail is managed on your behalf from the ordering of your furnishings through the placement in your home.
We think that fine design should be part of every client relationship. And when you have a relationship with our LUXE store it’s included as just one facet of the personalized service we deliver everyday.

Paula Volding
Paula's love affair with interior design began as a child. She has fond memories of antiquing with her parents, and the family home was always under some sort of renovation. It was a natural decision to attend Woodbury University in Los Angeles, where she obtained a bachelors degree in interior design and graduated magna cum laude. Her career was officially launched in 1979 when she joined a prestigious commercial interior design/ architectural firm. She worked on numerous country clubs in Palm Springs, in addition to corporate offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Pittsburgh, PA. Paula also has extensive experience in designing retirement facilities and has worked with clients in southern California, Reno, NV, Dallas, and Houston. Her recent work with custom home builders has allowed her to participate in several showcase homes and models. Her passion for interior design involves the residential sector as well, and she is comfortable creating any style her clients request. Gifted in color selection and attention to detail, Paula sees herself as a problem solver. She loves a challenge, and listens closely to her clients needs over the course of the design process. Tight budgets and time restraints are not foreign to Paula's vast experience. Her goal is to create an environment tailored towards her client's individual lifestyle. Her motto is " I don't sell products, I sell peace of mind". |
